What is GSM in fabric?
GSM: Grams per Square Meter (g/m2) is the weight of the fabric if you take a sheet of material which is one meter by one-meter square and weigh it in grams.
What is GSM is lower than 120?
These are very thin and flimsy. Often used for making promotional t-shirt, where it has worn only a few times its lifecycle.
160 GSM: Used by most brands. These are light, thin and breezy. This does not mean it is low quality. Often, not very durable.
180 GSM: We use 180GSM because it is a little heavier, fits well and is more durable.
Higher than 180 GSM: Our Polo collared t-shirts and hoodies are higher GSM as the styling and the purpose demands it.
Price: Higher the GSM, the higher the price. This is because the additional raw material is used to make the same product.
Chris Cross T-Shirts: All our t-shirts are 100% cotton and 180 GSM so that:
- it is soft and gentle on the skin
- it is breathable during summer
- it drapers better, ensuring comfort fit
